Every parent's number one responsibility

The number one responsibility of every parent is to regulate our own emotions because if we are blowing up at our child or if our child is having a hard time and it triggers us and we are saying "Stop crying!, Stop crying! that's not what our child needs, that's not emotion coaching our child through their upset. So we are not being helpful, so the number one responsibility we have is to regulate ourselves. And to do that, we need to monitor our emotions. So she go to your day to notice are you in the good mood or are you starting to be resentful. Are you doing what I called "Gathering Kindling", or are you "Staking up Grievances" because you know you get it off kindling and your going to have a bonfire by the end of the day. So, if you can notice as you go through your day, the state you are in and intervene to take care of yourself. Keep you own cup full, you'll be able to show up for your child int he way your child needs.
