Parents are always worried about losing their child at Disney Land or wherever, a local supermarket. A couple of things you can tell your kids when you go out in public, especially the big, wide open spaces. If your child gets separated from you, the first thing they should do freeze and yell. Just stay right in your spot and yell, "Mom, Dad, I'm over here," or "Dad, I need help." Because with that big, loud voice, a parent can backtrack and find their kid pretty quickly. Another thing a kid can do? Go to another mom, with kids, and ask for help. A mom with kids is a safe person to ask in an emergency; mom, with kids. Another thing a child can do if they get separated from their parents, ask the cash register person for help. Not the security guard. The cash register person definitely works at that store or at Disney Land. The cash register person has a microphone, and they can make an announcement. Telling your kids to look for a security guard can be iffy, because uniforms can be confusing. We don't want our kids to make the wrong choice and ask the wrong person for help. So freeze and yell, go to a mom with kids, or ask the cash register person.
