Once your child reaches two years of age, generally, the only need to see their pediatrician once a year. That's recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. There are a number of topics that we cover at those visits. Number one, is growth and development. Parents want to be assured that their child is growing normally, and we can do this quite easily by showing them their growth charts. Number two, we need to talk about their motor development, language development, and their social development to make sure they are on track. The second big issue that we cover is nutrition and feeding issues. The third are sleeping problems and whether there are any sleeping issues. Fourthly, we cover accident prevention since toddlers are at great risk in getting into trouble that winds them up in the Emergency Room. We try to cover that so that we can be able to prevent those issues. We also cover other issues, such as, how much television is acceptable.
