There's a class of us who are even more hard on ourselves perhaps on the average women. We are perfectionist, some of us have OCD, some of us are real strivers and will expect nothing less but perfection ion our lives. And anyone who have a baby knows that there is nothing perfect about a newborn, they not always sleep when you want them to, they are not going to go to the bathroom when you expect them to. And always have the right number of diapers, or eat the right amount. It is all over the place. you never know what your baby is going to do and for women like me who are really comfortable in controlling everything in their lives, that is a pretty crazy experience. I would say I had a career, i was 32 when I have my first child, i was in corporate marketing in a major company for many many years. And so I thought I had my whole life under control, I was the master of my domain. And so for me, having a child was i had no idea of how much it will turn me upside down. And how much anxiety it would cause me to not be able to control manage plan schedule and perfectly carry through on everything that a new mother's supposed to do. And we don't have to feel bad for being that way. It is who we are. But it is also important to know if you are somebody who is a perfectionist a type A personality, maybe somebody who is been on her career for awhile and feels like she has it all under control. That you maybe at risk for postpartum depression, it is going to be okay. it is fully re-treatable and there is help
