A lot of mom's who have postpartum depression, unfortunately get to the point where they think that their families might be better off without them. I know I thought my son really deserve the better mom than me. And that was the illness talking, it wasn't true. I think every mother is the exact right mom for her child and I can't imagine having followed through to those thoughts or having left. I know I am the exact right mom for my son. I couldn't feel it at that time because I was sick, and then I got better. And now I know it was a very brief phase in my life as a mother. So, I would say to any mom out there who is not sure if she ever should have done this in the first place, whose worried that her child would never love her and that this is a disaster, just wait. Get help, talk to the people who have been there, be patient with yourself. It's going to happen and you really are the exact right mom for your child.
