Transcription:
Surrogacy is a process where a whole bunch of people collaborate to help people become parents. So there’s a surrogate who carries the child. There’s sometimes an egg donor or a sperm donor. And then there’s a whole bunch of allied professionals – lawyer, doctor, psychologist. So it’s really a collaborative effort of people, all intentionally coming together to create a family. It’s very different from adoption, there’s no loss, there is no giving up. It’s not where the surrogate is giving up her child, it’s where the surrogate is actually carrying your child and she is completely on board and excited to be giving you the gift of carrying your child for you.
