Ivy league sports and Division 3 sports are much more low key than what you'll see at the big Division 1 revenue producing schools with football programs and basketball programs. There are no athletic scholarships awarded in the Ivy League or in the small liberal arts schools that comprise Division 3. Student athletes that are attracted to Ivy League programs, Division 3 programs are usually students that academics overwhelmingly comes first for those kids. They love their sport. They want to continue to play their sport in college, but they don't want that to define their college experience. So students that are looking for that type of an experience gravitate towards the Ivy League, they gravitate towards the smaller liberal arts college like Amherts, or Williams or Worthsmore where they can continue to play their sport but have it be part of the college experience, not be the defining moment of their college experience.
