Varsity versus Junior Varsity competition, I get that question a lot. Certainly, Junior Varsity isn't as big a time commitment as Varsity level. The sad commentary with sports is that there is no longer the multi-sport athlete. In order to be playing college level, you need to be playing Varsity. Even that isn't enough. Most of the athletes that go on to play sports in college are playing on club teams and travel teams. Some of them are even competing nationally. That is how competitive and how high the bar has been set, so unfortunately, JV is a great activity and great fun, but it's really not going to cut it for the athlete that wants to play their sport in college.
