You know, the biggest concern people have about homeschooling is socializing, whether their kids can make friends with other kids. And it's the question most homeschooling families get is "How do your kids socialize?" When really, it's kind of a funny question, because my kids have more of a social when we home-school than when we're in more of a traditional school setting. And the reason is because whenever you're not managing a classroom full of kids, you're tutoring just a few, you can be done with the academic part by lunchtime. So, you've got the entire day to play with other kids, to go take community classes, to be involved in sports and other activities. And so, really, it's kind of a no-brainer for us to get our kids out in the world whenever we're homeschooling. So, my family has done both traditional school and homeschooling, and we have found that our kids get more of a natural socialized environment when we home-school than when we do traditional school, and that's because they're around kids of all ages and other adults. And so there's no compartmentalizing children by age. It's the eight year old interacting with the five year old and the seventeen year old, and interacting with other adults. Just like more of the real world.
