If you have a homosexual son, or you know a son or a daughter who is homosexual, one of the most important things you can do is study the science. I think you naturally are going to try and I hope find ways to allow the child to verbalize, to protect the child from bullying. One thing you may not have thought of is to look at the science of it. It helps us make peace with it, because our culture is at war. Religion and science are at war right now regarding homosexuality. I can’t say anything about religion, but I can say something about the science. There are two ways in which it appears that the male rain and the female brain gets set for homosexuality and it happens before birth. So it’s just as natural to be homosexual as to be heterosexual. But for a certain population. It appears to be around 5 to 10% of human population as well as some other primates and mammals. So one piece of science is genetic markers. There are genetic markers for this and they pass through families even when the child has been adopted and has been brought up somewhere else higher probability if there was a homosexuality in that family line. So that’s chromosomal. And then the other one is there is nucleolus in the brain that appears to be set in neuro for homosexuality for both boys and girls. So that’s one of the things I can teach people and ask people to look at that if you go to “The Wonder of Boys”, that’s a place where you can learn about that. And then people can make peace. And they can say, “Oh, okay. This is a way being and this is who this person is. And I need to look differently at the world.” And it may help with the battle between science and religion, and I hope it will help you.
