There's a school of thought that says when you're a stay at home parent every day is a day off. Being a stay at home dad I get a day off everyday; especially during the school year. My kids go to school at 8:00 in the morning. They don't come home till 3:30. I consider that a day off. But during that day off I will, you know, do errands. I will pay bills. I'll schedule the kids' social calendars. But I can also take a bike ride. I can walk around the neighborhood. I can play with the cats. I can play my video games. I would say rather than call it a day off, when you're a stay at home parent, you have time for yourself that other parents don't when they're at the office working and they have to be in that context of dealing with their coworkers, you know. And they have days off, saturdays and sundays. I feel like I'm working and I have a day off every day of the week.

Stay-at-Home Dad

Scott Lenz was born in Lewisberg, Pennsylvania. By the time he reached 9th grade, he had been to eight schools, which explains a lot about his social awkwardness. However, his wife Suzanne and two kids - Jaron, 13 and Georgia, 10 - went to less than five schools combined, so it all evens out.

He was the original rat mascot for Chuck E. Cheese, and since then has been a record store manager, music journalist, television documentarian and, most recently and importantly, a stay-at-home dad. His single greatest hope is that ABBA will one day reunite.
