I honestly think that the concept of balance is a myth. I don't think anything can ever be properly in balance when you have children and you have a demanding business. So my best advice is to let go of the idea of being in balance. We're always out of balance at some point. So when it's work, work and we're on the road and it's a trade show or an important meeting, I'm really all about work and being present in that moment and giving my best to what I have. And then when it's about my kids, I'm really with my kids. There are obviously times when it's really a hybrid and the kids are around and work is going on. But I would not say that there is that perfect equilibrium of balance ever. It's sort of, it all balances out int he wash. I think that moms, especially working moms can put too much pressure on themselves thinking that they're supposed to be in balance, and that there's this perfect recipe for always having this zen kind of balanced attitude. From my experience, it's a little bit of this and a little bit of that and everybody gets what they need if you stay aware of what the needs are. What never really works is if there's a high level of stress involved, it robs the children of a sense of believing that their mom is there for them and in control. And it definitely doesn't do anything to help business to be stressed out. So I've given up on the myth of perfect balance and equilibrium. And it's just kind of a big mish mosh that seems to work.
