The most popular part of scary mommy is the scary mommy confessional, which is an entirely anonymous forum to confess or admit any parenting flaw. There are only three ways you can respond to the confessions that someone is posting through a "like," a "hug" or a "me too." So if somebody confesses that their kid is on hour three of television, and they're eating cereal out of the box for dinner; all of a sudden there will be 45 people clicking "hug." There will be 200 people clicking oh my God, "me too," and that person realizes they're not the only one. Every parent is failing in one way or another, we're just not talking about it, so it's a place to "get it out there." If you're not comfortable posting that on Facebook, calling up your mother and telling her, you post it on the confessional, and hundreds - thousands of other moms can see it and see themselves in it, and that gives you comfort knowing you're not alone.
