Breastfeeding tips for triplets

The best technique for breastfeeding triplets is to pump right away, the minute they are born. I had someone come to my hospital bed and give me an industrial strength pump. You will need a hands-free bra, something that kind of looks like cow utters, some nipple cream to hold the cup there and keep the areola from chaffing, and maybe some mother's milk tea. But it's really important to start every 2 hours, 24 hours a day, to produce enough milk for all three. One of my really favorite interviewees, Helen Rancid, who has a triplet website called, said, "People looked at me like I had two heads when I told them I was going to nurse all my three boys." But 65% of the moms I interviewed were able to pump or nurse for all three for the first three months. It is the best thing you can provide for your kids.
