Emotional up and downs are to be expected during pregnancy. We usually break pregnancy into three trimesters. So we find that the first trimester tends to be a little bit sluggish – you're nervous, you don't feel the baby moving, so there's a lot of anxiety. The second trimester, there's a lot of elation, because you do feel the baby moving and you're starting to feel better and then there's some anxiety and emotional ups and downs. And the third trimester is you get nervous about actually being a parent. And I think the most important thing with all the emotional ups and downs is to have a supportive person in your life, whether it's your partner or a parent, to have somebody there to understand that there are going to be ups and downs and they're to be expected and there's people near you to support you with these ups and downs.
