Hemorrhoids and constipation, they usually come together. Constipation leads to you having to strain a little bit more with the bowel movement and that can lead to a hemorrhoid. So we usually recommend keeping yourself hydrated – drinking lots of fluids throughout the pregnancy – eating foods that are less constipating and even taking stool softeners – there’s a lot of over the counter stool softeners you can take to make it easier for you to use the restroom.
