Being your wife's obstetrician is probably not the best idea. In fact, it probably isn't a good idea. But I did take care of my wife during her pregnancy and I did manage her labor for the beginning part, which I even think I got in trouble in the hospital for breaking her water. But it's very hard to let go. And even though I trust my partner implicitly and he's a great guy, it's just very hard to not just jump right in there and kind of put my hands in there. It's very, very different being the dad as opposed to being the doctor, which was very foreign to me.
