Some important questions to ask your nanny during an interview include, asking them about their family and what that was like for them growing up. It's going to tell you about what they expect in a family, including yours. Secondly, it is really important to ask them what kind of activities that they like to do with children who are your children's age. For example, a 4 and a 6 year old. It's a rainy day, what are we going to do inside. After school, what kind of activities might you do? It's also important to ask your potential candidate about how they have handled emergencies in the past in families that they've worked with. Don't get scared if they have had emergencies because emergencies happen. What you are looking for here is that she has taken steps to lead to a safe result. She's contacted the parents or immediately took the child to the pediatrician or the emergency room. Those steps are what you are looking to hear.
