Dealing with a child that has performance anxiety or an incredible fear of failure is not as difficult as it sounds. In my mind, as a parent, you need to let your child know that with success, there is always failure. Failure is a part of life. You build on failures. You need to let them know where you have failed in life, as a person. You need to share with them your life experiences, where your failures have been and how you've built on those failures to create a success. You can't have success in life, without failure. Performance anxiety, we all have it. We all have issues at times, dealing with things that we are confronted with; be it in the business world, be it in a social setting, be it in interacting with our wife or our partner. You need to share these experiences with your child, so they know it is okay. This is all okay. With time, with some experience, you'll find that these are easier to overcome; but don't worry about it. It's not a big deal. We all have it.
