Having healthy conflict is so important to a marriage. The road to intimacy is a road paved with rupture followed by repair. And in that time of repair, when someone is apologizing, when someone else has empathy or compassion for their partner´s stance on something, when people come back together if you will, have great make up sex maybe. During that time are when marriages become intimate. I am more concerned when I see marriages where there is never conflict. What are you? Two happy roommates living together and only the public areas of your lives and you never touch anything tender. It is very important as you grow closer and interdependent on each other that you have regular, healthy conflict.
