I think well-mannered children come from families that are well-mannered. If you are very casual and lax about everything, your kids will be that way. If you say please and thank you, which are a must in everybody´s vocabulary, your kids will be that way. And then when they get a little bit older, you can teach them how to open doors for people, to stand when a woman comes in the room. You can teach them how to have manners by listening better and have respect when other people are talking and not always object to people´s opinions, be respectful of one another. My kids go to a school that is a Jesuit school and they do a good job teaching those boys to be men for others there. And right now it has all been good for their manners. They have been really nice and they are nice to have around. And you enjoy people with good manners.
