It's never too early or it's never too late to start teaching values to children. I always like to start with the foundation values or the building block values. One of those is honesty. Honesty takes a long time. Children need to see honesty modeled over and over again. Honesty is almost a precursor to other values like sincerity and trustworthiness. Another value that I consider a building block value is patience. Learning the value of patience is very important along the lifespan, but it's also a precursor to other values, such as, frustration tolerance, tolerance in general, and acceptance.
