A follow through is super important in discipline. It teaches 2 really important values. Number one, accountability. Children really do need to really learn that all actions have a consequence, so parents need to follow through, when they say they're going to follow through. It also teaches accountability and children needs to see this over and over again to really get this message. One of my favorite quote is by Robert Falcon. He says, "Don't worry that your children don't listen to you, worry that they're always watching you."
