So one of the things you can do to prepare your child for child care. There are two things. First, you want to prepare yourself and you are going to be preparing your child. This is a transition for both of you. A couple of things you will want to take a look at is what are the routines that you are doing now that may change when your child enters childcare. So if you have a child that stays up late and is going to have to get up early, you may need to change bedtimes. You may need to look at some of those routines so they are consistent when they start childcare. A couple other little things that you can do is you can start looking for a backpack. Take a picture and that picture he can take with him or she can take with her to childcare. There may be special clothes that they pick out that they are going to be the ones that they take to childcare. You can visit the childcare with your child also. Spend a little time there. let them see where they are going to be going.
