So how can I keep my child safe at day care? One of the things that you want to do is before you even place your child in child care, you want to do some homework. You want to visit that provider often. You want to see that their local licensing agency has any complaints or violation information about that provider. But you also want to make sure that you are doing your homework before you place the child in. If your child is and you have some concerns, drop in, check in to see what is going on, sit there for a while, hang out for an hour and see what is really happening with it. So if you still have a concern, contact your local resource and referral agency and ask them what steps you can take. You can contact your local resource and referral agency by contacting Child Care Aware.
