Different types of therapies for Asperger's

My daughter had a lot of therapies very early on. I was very big on early intervention and getting on it and giving her whatever tools I could in order to help her thrive. And she had lots of different therapies. We had physical therapy. We had speech therapy. We had occupational therapy, which is the sort of therapy that helps a child to desensitive the input that they get from the rest of the world. It also works with motor skills, fine motor skills, large gross motor skills. And we did therapy. She did horseback riding therapy. And we did social skills classes. And looking back thinking about what the best therapies were for her, I would say the two most effective were occupational therapy and social skills. The occupational therapy really helped her learn to control her fine motor skills. It gave her confidence with writing and with moving in the world, not looking awkward physically and being able to write and draw and express herself. I think those were key. And the social skills allowed her on a personal level to interact with other kids and to learn how to properly play and I guess interact with other kids.
