Tips to avoid weight loss plateaus and slumps


Most weight controllers will find their weight plateauing after a while. This applies to children as well as adults. It's very normal. It's almost unheard of for someone to just loses weight in a linear fashion. There are plateaus, there are slumps that you get into. It's very important for weight controllers to realize that's likely to happen. It's almost guaranteed. It's not a reason to give up. It's not a reason to stop doing what you are doing completely, but you might want to change certain things. The Well Spring Weightloss Plan book that I wrote references this. I have a chapter on slump busters, ideas that people have used effectively to break out of those plateaus. It really could be anything that creates a new focus, a new level of intensity. Doing something that is different that as different from your routine. You set more stringent goals. It could be working with a friend or joining a support group. So if the pattern of your life is not making the desired changes that you really want, it's time to change the pattern of your life.
