Tips for sustaining a healthy weight

Well Spring provides immersion treatments for overweight and obese young people, as well as adults, actually. People do wonder, how do you maintain that, after someone leaves? Let's say they are at a camp for six weeks or a boarding school for six months, even. The world is a very different place. These are very ideal, weight controlling environments with incredibly supportive staff, with programming specifically targeting the way to help them with this problem, like every minute of the day. That's so different. So you've got to wonder, okay, put that person back into our obesogenic world, what's going to happen? When they go back into the obesogenic culture, what can happen is we build in certain support structures to help keep them focused. We have an online support system that helps. We have a self-help groups that are called "Well Spring Journey" that are available. Even something like Weight Watchers, other types of support programs. You don't just go out there and think everything is going to be fine. You build in certain support systems that you can have in your life that will keep you focused. That's the message we give to the kids. That's the message we give to the kids. We bring the parents into Well Spring for several days, toward the end of the child's stay with us and we do workshops that are very intensive. These are ways to help your child. Here is what you have to do if you are looking for the best outcomes for your child.
