I'm going to tell you a very dirty little secret. Some children, we love more than the others. Nobody wants to say it because it sounds terrible. The truth is that some of our children have a real compatibility with us. They are more like us, it's easy to hang with them, we know what they are going to say next. Other children are less compatible with us, so when we are with them, they have unexpected behaviors and it's harder to love them. Nobody wants to talk about it. I have to tell you the good news. You may love one child more than the other, but the one that's harder to love is going to make you love yourself. It is going to make you a better parent and a better person. Don't despair, just remember that each child of yours is worthy of love. Make sure to tailor your love for that child.
