When you're working from home it's important to set boundaries. And that means that you have a set time everyday that you're working. Or if you are working three times a week, that you have specific hours. I always say, beware of the felx-time fantasy. That means that when you have a flexible schedule when someone asks your for coffee or to volunteer at school you're always the one saying "Yes" and you end up with no work time. So, the more you can have specific hours that you work better. Similarly carving out a space at home that no one interrupts you for those hours of the day, is really essential to being productive. Because, at the end of the day, even if you're hired by a working mom, they don't want to hear your kids in the background when you are on a conference call. You really have to set some boundaries when you are working from home.
