When we talk about processed foods, what we mean is that you take a food that grows in nature, a fruit, a vegetable, or a grain, and we change it dramatically, often with machinery, to make it something else. So you take a nice piece of fruit, you put it through a machine, and it turns into a fruit rollup on a piece of paper. That is a processed food. Our body does not digest processed food nearly as well as a whole food, that original food, and we can't take the nutritional resources out of that processed food like we can out of a whole food. When we talk about processed foods versus natural or whole foods, just think about how your body is handling what you are putting into it. You do better with a whole wheat piece of bread than you do with a cracker that's completely white and stamped by a machine. You do better with a fresh vegetable than you do with a juice that is made with vegetable-like ingredients. Just use your common sense and your body will thank you for it.
