One of the best ways to get a child who's stuck in not exercising or not playing is to have the parents begin with them, have the parents work with the children, exercise with the children, play with the child vigorously and to make sure that it's fun; it's something that the parents and the child engage in and will come back to. This can lead to a whole change in attitude towards physical activity and exercise.
