As working moms we all yearn for more time and I have also made the mistake of saying, "I'll just wake up an hour early and that's how I'll get my extra time." And then I suffer from sleep deprivation. But there are other ways to do it. So, for example, as a working mom, all of your errands need to take place in what I call the golden triangle. That means, there is home school and work. You cannot go to a dentist or a hair stylist that is outside of this golden triangle. There are talented people within that triangle and you must start seeing them. Secondly, identify kid friendly errands. Going to the gas station or going to the super market, never do those things without your kids in the car, because kids just want to be with you. They don't care that you are at the supermarkets. Don't feel guilty that your time with them is going to CVS. They'll think it's fun if you make it fun. So it's all about spinning it to say, " Will you go with me to the super market and you can be in-charge of the list" But really involving your kids in those errands makes it so that you have more time throughout the week to do the things you have to do.
