The question as to whether you should work full time or part time is completely personal. It is based on a lot of criteria including your financial situation. Most women can't afford to work part-time so they have to work full-time. So, even just discussing that question can be more of a luxury question because in most parts of the country and in most parts of the world women are working and they are working full time to support their families. Now, certainly in an ideal world you have a lot of time with your kids and a lot of time at work for your career and keep building your career. But the important thing when you make that decision is to think about what you are giving up long-term. Because, sometimes when you go part-time it is hard to ever get fully back to the career you once hand in terms of earning power and just job potential.
