Sometimes women feel so overwhelmed from everything that is coming at them, from family obligations and from work obligations. My suggestion is, as hard as it is to do, is to stop for a minute because what we want to do when we are overwhelmed is to go faster; read more emails, have the conversations we need to have. We end up speeding everything up and just adding to that overwhelm. My suggestion is that you stop, take a moment, write down the three goals, in that minute, that are most important to you. It might be getting dinner on the table in the next hour. It might be making sure you finish that report for your boss. Just do and complete those three. That, kind of, stops the madness. There's a madness that happens when we begin to feel like that. That's my suggestion for intervening in overwhelm that can escalate into anxiety and more.
