When kids leave we can have what's called "the empty nest syndrome" and we resist that – we don't want to feel that. And I think instead of resisting that feeling of emptiness, really look at why do you have that feeling. You have prepared your child to go out into the world, they're ready to go out into the world, you've done a great job, you've done what you intended to do. And really embrace the sadness, if there's sadness, but also embrace the joy of what you've achieved and allow yourself to have those feelings. Once you've sort of moved though that phase, I think it's a matter of finding something that really you have a passion for, whether it's a job or a hobby or a person or a project, but find something that you have a passion for. You're never probably going to have a passion for that like you had for your kids, but you can have something in your life that really gets you up in the morning and drives you though the day.
