The holidays are very stressful for everyone, especially for working parents. And so, I always recommend doing as much in advance as possible. For example, months ahead of time, I've started my list of what I'm getting my kids for holidays. And so, doing that all year around, keeping a running list makes it much more stress free for you. I'm a huge fan of online shopping. If you are a working mom, you are doing all of your shopping. Everything from teacher gifts to your family gifts should be done online. And then if budget is an issue over the holidays and you're really strapped for cash I always recommend doing a day that you talk about weeks in advance with your kids, that's going to be holiday baking day. And it could be cookie decorating holiday baking. But that is one festive party that you can do for your family and it just has nothing to do with finances. It is all about just enjoying being together and really getting the kids to have something to look forward to. And what better gift than homemade cookies. So find a cute tin, put a bow on it and that's an excellent holiday gift.
