My husband started out as a 40 inseam and now he is at basically 6 pack abs. It took 6 and a half years to get him to that point, and it wasn't nagging and it wasn't harping on him. It was just sweet role modelling. It was just doing what I do everyday and just being the rock of health, and little by little by little he came around. He used to tease me about organic food was about eating bugs. Today he's buying more than I am. My healthy living started with just me. So I was essentially preparing two meals and I wasn't complaining about it you know, because I needed to do this. And my husband wanted to eat different food, so I totally did that for him. I made 2 different meals you know, one for me and my kids and one for him. And for him it wasn't about doing it because it was healthy, it was about loosing control in being a man. It's not that they like the potato chips that much, it't that you are relinquishing control from them. You are taking it away and they don't want to be like hen pecked. So you know, what you need to do is to role model in a very sweet way. So you need to be nice about it and then you need to encourage them when they are doing it right. And so that means a little bit more in the bedroom when they are doing something well, and giving them a little bit more attention and doing things for them that they like. But if you do it slowly and gradually, it's going to be painless than if you do it all at once. If you do it all at once, you are going to loose that battle because you are going to have the whole family against you and you are eventually going to loose. But if you do it gradually, it's not as painful
