Is coffee safe during pregnancy?

Drinking coffee during pregnancy in my opinion should be as little as possible. Caffeine is a stimulant and a diuretic. As a stimulant, it increases your heart rate and blood pressure, both of which are not recommended during pregnancy. And as a diuretic, it moves water and fluid out of your body. And it can cause dehydration. Caffeine for your baby because your baby´s metabolism is still maturing, it cannot process all the caffeine that gets into the baby. So in the later stage of pregnancy, it can cause irregular sleep patterns and movement pattern in your baby. Some experts say you can drink up to 115 milligrams of caffeine while some say even up to 300 is okay. I would say if you can cut it out, drink as little as possible and also pay attention to other sources of caffeine outside of coffee. For example, some tea and soft drink contain caffeine and you should watch out for that as well.
