The landscape of childhood has changed so much. So, what does this mean to a mom? It mean that you have to give yourself permission to not make the "perfect" the "enemy of the good". I think that so many of us thought we were coming into motherhood with sort of a playbook, or a set of rules, that were going to work for our kids. But today, with the number of kids that have diabetes, or autism, or allergies, or ADHD, we're realizing that it is not one-size-fits-all. So, to really give yourself permission to do what works for you, where you are, with what you have. So that your family can be vibrant, and happy, and healthy, too. If I had to say that there was one parenting nugget, or piece of advice, that I would give, it would be, "Focus on progress, not perfection."
