What are the statistics of the increases in illnesses we are seeing in our families? Well, to begin, our children now have the title of Generation Rx, because of the prevalence of all of these conditions and diseases and all of the medications that are now required to treat them. Today, one in three American children has autism, allergies, ADHD, or asthma. According to the CDC, one in three American kids is expected to be insulin dependent by the time they reach adulthood. That number goes to one in two kids when you're dealing with minority children. And now cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in the American children that are under the age of 15. This is completely unacceptable, and yet, at the same time, we have introduced dramatic changes in our food supply. And again, correlation is not causation, but we need to be doing everything that we can to exercise precaution in order to prevent these diseases in the health of our kids. Because while they are only 30% of the population, they are 100% of our future. According to the President's cancer panel 41% of Americans are now expected to get cancer in our lifetimes. That's one in two men, and one in three women. And with it being the leading cause of death by disease, why we are not talking about it instead of obesity, I do not know.
