Every year, in every classroom, there's always a child, well maybe more than one child, having a hard time sharing. Again this is a very natural issue for every child who goes through this age appropriate issue. The reason they're having a hard time sharing is, truly in their own minds is, they're the only ones that exist. Everyone else is playing a game for them. So giving up my toy to you, means that you actually have you know emotions and feelings and it's early on for a child to understand those emotions and feelings. So don't be, don't feel like your child has to know this. It's a process. Let your child figure this out over time. And a way you do that is, when your child comes into a situation when someone has something they want and they're having a hard time with it, point that out to them. That's called a teachable moment. Do you see Johnny how hard it was for you, when your friend didn't want to give you that ball? That's how hard of a time they have as well. Your child is not going to get this in the beginning, but repeatedly going through this, and allowing your child to absorb the truth of that, will help your child understand how to share in the future.
