Well, the subject of how to deal with family life when you've had some kind of crisis is something that has been very personal for us. My husband had a very bad car accident and suffered some issues with that, which very much impacted our family and still impacts our family today. But the thing that helped us the most and the thing that made the most difference for us was our faith because we knew that God loved us. We knew that He was there to help us and care for us, and a part of that, too, was to make sure that as we relied on God, we would accept the gifts that He was giving to us in the midst of a crisis. And it's really important to understand that there always is a gift in the midst of crisis. The gifts for us were relationships with other people that were there to love and support and care for us. The gift for us was the independence that our children developed as a result of having to work really hard to help our family work together. The gift for us was the closeness of pulling together as a team in the midst of some really tough things. And so when you have the capacity to say, "I know because God loves me. I can get through this, and that his gifts for me in the midst of this crisis, where are they? That will help you to survive that type of a situation."
