Dealing with sibling rivalry

Well, I think that one of the most important things for dealing with sibling rivalry is to really understand what it is that you want for your family. And in terms of looking at how your children relate to one another, you want to paint a bigger picture for them. And that bigger picture for me is from spiritual perspective that God has given us as gifts to one another and so we want to love each other, we want to support each other, we want to encourage each other and we want to be the fans of each other. And so there is no need to have that sense that there’s not enough for everyone, because there is enough for everyone. And while things may not always be equal, in the end, everything is always fair. And so in our family what we do is we really seek to have the attitude that we’re on everyone’s team and by having that as our goal, we’ve really been able to minimize sibling rivalry.
