It is really important to explain to your daughter how different boys are. When boys bond, they bond by feeling that they have accomplished and they have achieved. Boys have 30 times more testosterone than women or girls, and that testosterone releases as he feels he is accomplishing, achieving his goals. His goal is to connect with her, to win her approval, to have sex with her, to be affectionate with her, to have a relationship with her but if she is too easy, not much testosterone gets produced and he doesn´t bond with her. So that movement of him trying to please her, him doing things, him helping her, that´s releasing testosterone which causes him to bond with her and when he is doing those things for her, it releases a hormone called oxytocin. And oxytocin is the bonding hormone for girls and for women, so women bond when somebody does something for you. Men bond when they do something for you. So if suddenly you are doing everything for him, he will like it, he will like you but he won´t want to pursue you. There is a great scene from a TV show which is from the 60s but it had truth in it where the mother said to the little girl who was pursuing the little boy, girls don´t kiss boys;boys kiss girls. And it is a classic message is that if you pursue, boys lose interest. If you let him pursue, let him experience success in getting closer and closer, that keeps him wanting you more and that desire is created, testosterone is released and he bonds with you more.
