Transcription:
The minute you find your teenager is involved with any kind of substance abuse, you take action. You take action. You don’t tell yourself this is a phase; they’ll work themselves out of it; everybody just experiments. Drug involvement has been the ruination of so many talented, capable young adults. So the minute you find evidence that this is occurring, you find resources within your community and act immediately. Even overreact. Because the danger that may parents have done is put themselves in a position of denial or hoping that it will go away if they don’t pay attention to it. And I strongly say that from the minute you have any awareness do not go into denial, find some sort of positive intervention within the community to help you deal with that issue. It is an extremely serious problem.
