When your child doesn't do well in school there's probably a lot of reasons and what's important is to understand what the underlined reason is that's making your child either don't want to be at school, not want to be able to contribute or engage in a particular class. Because one of the things I know from all of the years I work with kids is that there's always a good reason why they're doing what they're doing. We just don't know what the answer is right now. So for example, your child is like always unprepared or always talking out in a particular class. I would ask the question of why are they not engaged in the classroom. They need to be respectful to their teacher but you also need to understand what is going on in the classroom. So there's lots of reasons why your kid did not want to get to school or not do well so it's really important that you figure out and take the time to figure what's that reason is instead of being reactive and frustrated and I understand as a parent myself and I totally understand why it can be so frustrating when your kid's not doing well. Don't fall back on these easy reactions. Get in there and figure out what is really going on.
